On 20^th February a very proud day for NtandaVentures - Safaris in Zambia   EmpowerHerproject as we handed over 54 Bags to our local Musenga school that eachcontained 4 reusable Sanitary towels, a packet of washing powder and abracelet.

We believe that every girl deserves a chance at hassle freeEducation and we hope that these bags stop them from missing school each month.

In aworld where menstruation is often shrouded in stigma and reproductive healtheducation is lacking, NGOs like Empower Her are beacons of hope, striving toempower girls and women with knowledge and resources. Founded on the principlesof equality, dignity, and education, EmpowerHer Zambia is making waves throughtwo key activities: supplying reusable menstrual pads and educating girls andwomen on their reproductive cycles, early development of babies, and abortion.

1.    Supplying Reusable Menstrual Pads

Menstruation,a natural biological process, has been surrounded by myths, misconceptions, andshame for centuries. For many girls and women, lack of access to sanitaryproducts hinders their ability to participate fully in daily activities,leading to missed school or workdays and perpetuating the cycle of poverty.EmpowerHer Zambia addresses this issue head-on by supplying reusable menstrualpads to those in need.

Reusablepads offer a sustainable solution that not only ensures menstrual hygiene butalso promotes environmental conservation. By providing girls and women withaccess to these pads, EmpowerHer Zambia not only restores their dignity butalso empowers them to manage their periods with confidence.

2.    Educating Girls/Women

Educationgirls & women in Reproductive Health is a powerful tool for breaking downbarriers and dispelling myths surrounding reproductive health. EmpowerHerZambia recognizes the importance of comprehensive reproductive health educationin empowering girls and women to make informed decisions about their bodies.Through workshops, seminars, and outreach programs, the organization equipsparticipants with essential knowledge about their reproductive cycles, earlydevelopment of babies, and the perils of abortion.

EmpowerHerZambia's approach to reproductive health education is holistic, addressing notonly the biological aspects but also the social and emotional dimensions. Byfostering open dialogue and providing accurate information, the organizationcreates a safe space for girls and women to ask questions, share experiences,and seek support.
